Red-brown leaves, chilly evenings, and candlelight. The autumn season has arrived, and that also means the autumn break is just around the corner. But what should you experience in Copenhagen during the autumn break?
Here, we share our best suggestions for autumn activities in Copenhagen. All activities are close to our Pico Pizza restaurants, where you can enjoy a cozy lunch or dinner after exploring the city.
At Pico Pizza, we always use the best seasonal ingredients to create seasonal pizzas, so you can bite into mini-pizzas that taste and smell like autumn.
For most people in Denmark, the autumn break takes place in week 42 every year. In 2025, the autumn break will be from October 13th to 19th.
Although most people have their autumn break at the same time, there are still many activities such as museums, shops, amusement parks, and restaurants that remain open, so you can visit them during your holiday. At Pico Pizza, we, of course, stay open throughout the autumn break so you and your family can end your holiday day with delicious mini-pizzas.

It might be a bit chilly down there, so be sure to bring your warm autumn coat. You can learn more about The Cisterns’ exhibitions here.
On Gammel Kongevej in Frederiksberg, you’ll also find SMYKBAR. Founded in 2020 by a mother and son, SMYKBAR is the first of its kind. On Rømersgade, you’ll find the state-recognized Arbejdermuseet, offering fun for the whole family. Here, you can take shelter from the cold autumn winds and travel back in time through the museum’s 5 permanent exhibitions, which explore the lives and history of the workers. You’ll get a great insight into their everyday life, working life, and how society evolved.
The youngest members of the family can also get a glimpse into what it was like to be a child in the 1930s at the Children’s Arbejdermuseum. Here, they can try working as a delivery boy in a shop, sorting bottles at a brewery, or typing on a typewriter.
