From September 22–28, Pico Pizza is taking part in Negroni Week 2025, serving the classic Italian cocktail, the Negroni, while raising funds for a good cause.
Throughout the week, we will donate 10 DKK per Negroni to Verdens Skove, an NGO working globally to protect wild nature, rainforests, biodiversity, and local communities. By enjoying a drink with us, you’re helping make a difference for both people and nature.
Bring your friends to one of our restaurants in Copenhagen during Negroni Week. No matter which pizza is your favorite, you can always pair it with a perfectly balanced Negroni.
Visit us in Nørrebro, Nordvest, Vesterbro, Amager, or Valby – and help support Verdens Skove with every sip.
Negroni Week began in 2013 as a collaboration between Imbibe Magazine and the Italian spirits producer Campari. Its goal was to celebrate cocktail culture and support charitable causes with a portion of the sales.
Over the years, Negroni Week has supported initiatives ranging from food security and environmental protection to social justice and local projects.
Since 2013, bars, restaurants, and cafés around the world have taken part in Negroni Week each year, bringing happy visitors together over a cocktail and a shared cause.
The Negroni is considered one of the most famous Italian cocktails in the world. It was invented back in 1919 by the Italian count Camillo Negroni, who felt his Americano cocktail wasn’t strong enough.
He asked his bartender to replace the soda in his drink with a splash of gin – and thus the classic Negroni, as we know it today, was born.
The Negroni is often enjoyed as an aperitif just before a meal to stimulate the appetite and kickstart the cozy vibes. In many parts of Italy, the Negroni is a social gathering point in the afternoon, enjoyed over conversation and a few salty snacks.
The recipe for a Negroni is simple. The classic Negroni consists of:
1 part Campari
1 part gin
1 part vermouth
The three ingredients are poured into a glass filled with ice, and a slice of orange in the glass signals that the drink is complete and ready to enjoy.
This bittersweet, colorful cocktail pairs especially well with a light sourdough base topped with flavorful, high-quality ingredients – bringing the Italian experience full circle.
